DAY 1 - Early evening drinks, briefing & eBike fitting followed by dinner.
DAY 2 | Cortona to Montone | Four Castles, the Valley & a Vineyard – Begin with stunning views across Tuscany as you journey towards the border with Umbria. Wend your way through the Niccone Valley, steeped in history, modern and ancient. Lunch at the Gritti vineyard followed by a riverside journey along the River Tiber, to arrive at medieval Montone, and a spectacular celebrity chef dinner. DAY 4 | Gubbio to Assisi | Italy’s Backbone – Breakfast on the terrace, then ride towards the dramatic Apennine mountains where again, we join along with St. Francis of Assisi because today, we arrive in his home town but not before experiencing an unforgettable private lunch of typical Umbrian dishes and eventually our arrival into Assisi. DAY 7 | Pannicale to Cortona | Lakes, Wines & Hannibal – Soon after departure, we arrive on the shores of Italy’s largest peninsular lake, Trasimeno, an extraordinary site. Lunch in the vineyard with a wine and olive oil tasting after which we tell the story of the Battle of Trasimeno, when Hannibal routed the Roman legions in 217BC. And then, back to Cortona.
